Una mujer presencia con unos anteojos un crimen pero no consigue ver la cara del asesino. Ante este hecho acude a la policía y el comisario comienza a investigar. El primer sospechoso es el amante de la mujer que ha presenciado el crimen pero hay otros tres crímenes que lo exculpan y el comisario tendrá un largo y difícil camino hasta dar con el sádico homicida.
