Original Trailer for Jean Rollin's LA NUIT DES TRAQUÉES (The Night Of The Hunted) France, 1980. On a cold dark night a mysterious blonde girl is seen running around in the woods. It's Elisabeth (Brigitte Lahaie), who has escaped from a high-rise prison, where people are kept who have been contaminated by an environmental accident. Their thoughts, memories and emotions are slowly eaten away by a disease, turning them into sad, helpless creatures. A young man (Vincent Garder) has fallen in love with Elisabeth and tries to help her escape. But the clinic's henchman are ruthless. (cover text from the ENCORE Collectors Edition DVD) A very uncommon film for Jean Rollin standards. There are no vampires, castles or any gothic scenario, just the bleak and sterile atmosphere of the high-rise office blocks of La Defense. The so called "Black Tower" in the movie where the victims are kept, was in fact (back then) the Fiat Tower.
